The joint public administration – sociology cluster on the Governance of Migration and Integration is proudly hosting a series of conferences for two projects on migration and integration: AMICALL and IMPACIM.

The project AMICALL (Attitudes toward Migrants, Communication and Local Leadership) focuses on how local governments use communication strategies as part of their migrant integration policies to influence attitudes toward migrants in their cities. On Monday February 30th, a roundtable will be held with representatives from various local governments in the Netherlands, including Rotterdam, Delft, Enschede and Amsterdam, as well as representatives from national government and NGO's. At this roundtable, researchers from other countries involved in the AMICALL project will be present as well. On Tuesday February 31st, the mid-term conference of AMICALL will be held in Rotterdam, with representatives from all partner universities across Europe.

The project IMPACIM (Impact of Admission Criteria on the Integration of Migrants) focuses on how admission criteria to various public services (health, education, democratic participation, public housing, etc.) affect integration trajectories of Third-Country Nationals. The project's kick-off meeting is held in Rotterdam on Wednesday March 1st, bringing together partner universities from 5 European countries for the first time.

Both projects are funded by the European Integration Fund for Third-country Nationals.
