  • Completed application form (including a passport sized photo AND signature);
  • A Bachelor degree in Public Administration, Political Science, European Studies and International Relations Students with a bachelor in Economics, Business Administration, Sociology or other social sciences, as well as Law or History, are also eligible to apply if they have an international orientation and affinity with the public sector. Students with a bachelor in law or history, however, do also need to provide evidence that they are familiar with social science methodology and methods. If you are in doubt about whether your qualification is suitable, please make the earliest possible contact;
  • Certified copy of certificate TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge EFL Examination (if applicable) or CEF test (additional and individual language-test for students who study on the Erasmus University Rotterdam: http://www.eur.nl/english/ltc/students/languagetest/english_level_test_for_admission_to_the_master_in_public_management_and_public_policy/
    You will need an official (i.e. NOT institutional/ITP) TOEFL score of at least 580 (paper based), 232 (computer based) or 95 (internet based). Students from China and Taiwan can only be accepted with an IELTS score of 6.5 or above with a minimum pass of 6.5 per division. (i.e. not with TOEFL). Please note: The language test should not be older than 2 years;
  • Certified copy of higher education degree(s), specified the exams passed and the grades obtained;
  • (Certified copy of) birth certificate;
  • Copy of the personal data page of your passport, ID-card and, if applicable, residence permit;
  • Curriculum vitae;
  • Letter of motivation;
  • Name and address of two academic referees;
  • Certified copy English translation of transcripts (if other language than Dutch or German).

The Dutch academic year runs from 1st September until 31st August. Applications should reach the University by 31 May (for non EU/EEA students) and 15 July (for EU/EEA students) if you wish to begin on 1st September, but we advise you to apply earlier than that if possible. Later applications will be considered, but we must warn that (a) the course may be full and (b) there may be practical difficulties (visas etc.) which prevent the application from being successful in time to join the programme.
