Exchange students
The FSS participates in both the LLP/ERASMUS programme (within Europe) and in non-European international exchange programmes. The LLP/ERASMUS and other international agreements are designed to encourage student mobility and university links within EU and non-EU countries.
The main advantages of participating in the LLP/ERASMUS Programme are:
- Students travelling under the SOCRATES scheme do not pay fees at the host institution, but remain registered at their own university.
- SOCRATES students can obtain credits (ECTS) for their succesfully completed courses.
- Students have a right to a monthly SOCRATES/ERASMU grant (contact the SOCRATES/ERASMUS-coordinator of your home institution about this.
- Students receive all the help and services of the International Office of Erasmus University without paying extra fees.
If a formal exchange agreement exists with Erasmus University, you can fill in the application forms and send them to the International Office of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
In case your home university doesn't have a bilateral agreement with the Erasmus University Rotterdam, Faculty of Social Sciences you can apply as a freemover student. Please look under free mover for more information.
Application forms:
Deadline fall semester (September - December): 1 June of each academic year
Deadline spring semester (Jan / Feb - June): 15 November of each academic year for NON-VISA students and 15 October for VISA-students.
Application form exchange students
Please note that from 1 April 2009 on Stadswonen (Shortstay) took an electronic system into use. Via this electronic system you can apply for accomodation. As soon as your application has been processed you will receive a link to the electronic system of Shortstay by email.
