Training Program

NIG offers a Training Programme for Ph.D. students, who take a mandatory curriculum, which includes the following elements:

• Two courses on the state of the art of the discipline;

• Two courses on methodology: philosophy of science and general methodology;

• Several courses aimed at developing skills, such as presenting research and conducting interviews; and

• Four tutorials: tailor-made individual meetings with senior NIG-staff on specialized topics.

In the third and fourth year Ph.D. students can participate in Research Colloquia. These are  fora in which both Ph.D. students and NIG staff members present and discuss their research.
