Short Biography

Dr A. (Arthur) Edwards studied Political and Social Sciences at Amsterdam University. Between 1978 and 1983 he was researcher at the Association of Netherlands Municipalities. Between 1983 and 1989 he was assistant professor at Wageningen University, Department of Management Studies. He obtained his Ph. D from Amsterdam University (‘Planning in dispute: communication strategies of farmers and environmentalists in land use planning’). His research interests are related to the introduction and use of information and communication technologies in democratic processes.
