Tuition Fee as of 2010 / 2011
MA Philosophy
- For citizens of the EU/EEA the tuition fee is € 1672,- per year.
- For non-EEA citizens the tuition fee is € 2172,- per year.
Research Master in Philosophy and Economics
- For citizens of the EU/EEA the tuition fee is € 1672,- per year.
- For non-EEA citizens the tuition fee is € 3344,- per year.
Fees may be paid in installments.

Assistance with funding
There are various sources for grants and scholarships including:
- the Dutch government
- your home university/institution
- business sponsorship
- your local government
- international organisations (e.g. Rotary Club, UN, World Bank etc)
Dutch government funding sources can be searched through the grantfinder website. Some of the main funding programmes are listed below. Students from EU/EEA countries may also be eligible for a partial refund of their tuition fees via DUO.

Additional support
The Erasmus Philosophy Department additionally offers two kinds of financial assistance to excellent students who are unsuccessful in securing external funding.
- A fee waiver for non-EU/EEA students reducing their tuition fee to the EU rate
- The Erasmus University Trustfund "R. Mees en Zoonen fonds" awards a € 10.000 interest free loan to the best applicant without external funding (€ 5000 each year for a maximum of 2 years).
Conditions: In order to be eligible for this assistance, applicants must be excellent candidates for the programme and also show clear evidence of applying to several appropriate funding programmes in a timely way.
Applicants with full external funding (such as a Huygens scholarship) are not eligible.
