    This programme combines the theoretical study of public administration, policy, organizations and public management with an in-depth research training focusing on methods, philosophy, and practice. It aims at preparing students for the further practice of public administration and organizational science research either in the form of PhD research, or in the form of policy-oriented research. We accept max. 15 students.

    Applicants should have knowledge of, and insight and skills in issues of Public Administration and Public Organizations, and of research methods. More formally: an honours degree, or in-depth knowledge of theory and research in the domain and proven excellence in conducting research at bachelor’s degree level, is a prerequisite.

    An Admissions Committee assesses candidates on the basis of a portfolio. The portfolio contains proof of the candidates’ knowledge and skills in Public Administration and Organizational Science, of Research Methods, and relevant extra-curricular experience. Besides, the Admissions Committee will require a letter of motivation in which the candidates motivate their application, and a research proposal.
