Web conferencing
Due to the fact that conferences are usually internationally orientated, organizing as well as attending one can be very time and money consuming. In some cases, a web conference, webinar or online workshop can be an outcome. This allows participants and attendees to join the conference from home, their computers being interconnected by a web-based or downloaded application.
Depending on the nature of the conference and the limitations of the technology/software, a web conference or webinar can be one-way (speaker to audience), limited interactive (audience has chance to communicate) or fully interactive (members can collaborate, exchange, brainstorm, etc.).
