About RHV
RHV b.v. is a research and education company wholly owned by Erasmus University Rotterdam. As part of an internationally renowned academic institution, it is RHV’s mission to deliver practical research solutions grounded in science. More specifically its goal is to provide government and industry with cutting-edge knowledge and workable policy recommendations. Clients of RHV include the public and private sector, such as local and regional government, industry, consultants and NGO’s.
Main themes for research and education
For our clients our research projects serve as input for vision building, decision support and economic evaluation. At the core of RHV’s business are three themes: Urban and Regional Economics, Port Economics and Transport Economics.
On each of these themes, RHV’s staff of experts has a long tradition of ‘making science work’. A core team of 15 researchers and lecturers are dedicated to extend this track-record.
Through its education programs, RHV aims to offer its students excellent education on Urban, Port and Transport Economics. RHV’s education programs include short courses, Bachelor (BSc) programs, Master (MSc) and post-experience programs.
Governance and partners
RHV bv is fully owned by, and operates under the charter of, Erasmus University Rotterdam Holding.
RHV is aligned with the Erasmus School of Economics, meaning that the primary focus of the research and education is on economics.
RHV has network relations with the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS), Erasmus Institute for Comparative Urban Research (EURICUR), Rotterdam school of Management (RSM), Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS), Maritime Economics and Logistics (MEL), Technical University Delft and TNO-applied research.
