Urban and Regional Economics

Our experts in urban and regional economics share an interest in the development of cities and regions. They participate in contract research for (local) governments and businesses, European programmes such as Urbact, ESPON and the 7th framework programme, and international comparative research projects of EURICUR. RHV provides knowledge and experience in six research areas: knowledge and innovation, place marketing and branding, real estate economics and urban area development, urban governance and cooperation, economics of tourism and events, cultural industries and the economics of culture. In addition RHV has expertise on a number of related topics, summarized in our topical urban management issues section.

In addition to the 6 major research areas mentioned above, RHV's staff of urban researchers has on occasion participated in projects on the economics and management of health, sports and safety in cities.
