Services to students with a functional impairment

Copying facilities

It is possible to have required material copied for you. The copied material can be sent to you in electronic format or you can collect it at the Information desk. Ask at the Information desk or send us your request through the Virtual Desk. You will pay the normal self-service copying fees. The copied material will be ready for you the next day.

Other requests

Do you have problems handling and consulting books from the shelves? Do you have a problem navigating between study areas in the library? Ask for help at the Information desk or send us your request through the Virtual Desk.

Kurzweil

At the University library

Kurzweil is software that helps dyslexic students with reading and composing of text. This software is available on two workstations opposite the Information desk. The workstation on the right hand side is linked to a scanner. This scanner can transform the text into spoken word, so the text can be read to the user. Next to the workstation is a comprehensive manual on how to use this software.

For your pc or laptop

You can download the Kurzweil software onto your own PC or laptop if you are logged on as a student or employee of the EUR.

For more information about support, the necessary software and FAQ's on dyslexia, see the website Kurzweil for students with dyslexia.

Studying with disabilities

'Studying with disabilities' is an EUR programme that aims to help students with a functional impairment. For more information, see the website Studying with a functional impairment.
