Databases

The University Library (UL) provides EUR students and staff access to more than 300 databases.

Besides the alphabetical list of databases, you can generate your own list by selecting one or more disciplines. You can also select the type of source you want to see within your discipline. The third method is to search using words that appear in the (Dutch) content descriptions of the databases.

You will come across the following pictograms when searching for databases. The meaning of these pictograms is given below:

Database published using Citrix software. The first time you use it, you should see an information bar in your browser that says that you need to install an ActiveX control element. This is the Citrix client needed to open the database. Citrix software can also be installed separately as a client. This software is already installed on the public PCs in the University Library and on most office workstations in EUR.

The green pictograms indicate that only EUR students and staff with an ERNA account can access the databases. The databases with the blue pictograms have open access.

Remote access is possible via VPN connection (Virtual Private Network). Click here for further explanation and manuals.
