Financial databases/EDSC workshops

The UL’s Erasmus Data Service Centre (EDSC) regularly gives workshops (except in July and August) on the use of financial databases such as Thomson One Banker & Datastream, Bloomberg and the WRDS databases, such as CRSP and CompuStat. The language of the workshop is English or Dutch, depending on the participants.

The workshops are meant as a basic introduction to these databases and to help the student or researcher get started with collecting financial information such as annual report data and stock prices. 

For specific questions, you can make a personal appointment. 

The Bloomberg workshop takes place every Thursday at 11:00 a.m.; Thomson One Banker & Datastream workshop takes place every two weeks on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.; the WRDS workshop takes place monthly on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. You can register for a workshop via the EDSC’s electronic agenda. The EDSC can also provide customized training, e.g., for a seminar.
