Searching for recently published documents
Bibliographic databases normally publish bibliographic data several months after the publication of the original documents. The latest documents are therefore not yet described in databases such as Sociological Abstracts or ABI/Inform Global.
There are special databases that receive bibliographic data on documents more quickly after publication.
This database contains the table of contents data of some 15,000 journals available in Dutch libraries. This means that this database also describes Dutch-language articles. If a particular journal is not available in Rotterdam, it is possible to request it through inter-library loan. You can find this database via the homepage of the University Library. Click on the tab Databases and type in: online contents
This web-based index currently covers the contents of 94,000 journals and periodicals and the list of indexed titles is still growing. The tracing service (link resolver) built into sEURch allows you to quickly link through to the full-text of a journal article in one or more of the University Library’s databases. If no online version is available, it's possible to click through to the library catalogue to find a printed version or to submit an inter-library loan request. You can find sEURch directly on the homepage of the University Library.
