RefWorks is, just like EndNote or Reference manager, a programme especially developed for storing literature references. You can download these references from various databases, such as the University Library catalogue, Sociological Abstracts, ABI/Inform, PsycINFO or Medline/Pubmed. The references may be formatted in various publication styles - such as APA or Harvard - in a Word document, so that you do not need to retype them.
Another feature of RefWorks, Endnote and similar programs is that they can generate bibliographies according to the publication styles of many scholarly journals and associations. Other commercial bibliographic programs are Procite and Reference Manager.
The EUR has a licence for RefWorks. Every EUR employee or student can make his or her own account on the internet. You can find more information about RefWorks in our course RefWorks.
