Introduction: what is a book?!
You probably think, everybody knows that! Yes, but this course covers a special kind of books, namely, scholarly books (and other scholarly texts).
This goes beyond the study books you used at school and the books you read for your reading list. During your studies, you will soon have to deal with scholarly texts. You’ll save time if you know what the professors mean when they use certain terms. In this course, you will find an explanation of the terminology used in scholarly texts as well as instructions about searching for information about a certain subject or author. Searching on the Internet will be covered as well.
This course will remain available as a work of reference.
