Network Analysis and Tools
In this session, an introduction will be given into post demographics and web epistemology. How can we research the Web and what does it mean? How to analyze social media data?
- We will analyze social media data by scraping, cleaning up and visualizing data from Twitter and Facebook. Via structural assigments, students will be introduced into different (im)possibilites of current SNSN analysis software (Netvizz, Gephi and Topsy).
- The participants will be challenged (in groups or individually) to apply (some of) these tools to their own research and perform a short research cycle with these tools.
