Visual Culture and Public Policy Making
Project leaders: Victor Bekkers
Postdoc Researcher: Rebecca Moody
Duration: 2009 - 2011
New technologies for distributing but also creating visual images can have a profound impact on the way public policy is made. In this project this impact, whether it is present, and if so, in which way, was researched. Next to the new technologies also traditional technologies for creating and distributing visual images were looked at with the aim to find how these technologies influence public policy making. The relation between government and citizens was looked at but also the relation between experts and scholars among each other, as well as in relationship to the government.
