The EUR founded Erasmus Smart Port (ESP) to establish an integrated institute for port-related education and research. Recently ESP signed a contract with the Chinese port institute in Shanghai. Both attending Secretary Generals signed the MoU; Mr. Ton van der Pijl on behalf of EUR and Mr. Zhen Hong on behalf of Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI).
The event was also attended by the Dutch minister of Economic Affairs and Vice-Premier Maxime Verhagen (orange tie), the Dutch Consul-General Mr. Eric Verwaal.
The signed MoU will enable more future possibilities for cooperation in logistics.
