Research topic: “ The Determinants and Effects of Mergers and Acquisitions in China”
The primary object of the research is to examine the determinants and effects of M&A in China, analyzing their relationship with institutions, corporate governance and shareholder wealth and forecasting the future development of M&A in China. In the west, the study of M&A has been at focus of economic research for a long time. But because of different countries, different times, different institutions and different motives, it is impossible to draw a univocal answer from China. M&A are paid more and more attentions in China’s transition economy. It is meaningful to perform an in-depth study of M&A in China.
