Who organises the Eurekaweek?
The Eurekaweek Board is responsible for the organisation of the Eurekaweek. The board consists of eight enthusiastic students from multiple studies and multiple years. They start this project in January and work through the entire summer to make the Eurekaweek a big success. More information about this year's Eurekaweek Board can be found here.
During the preparations and the Eurekaweek itself, the board is assisted by the Eureka crew. Around 70 crewmembers assist the board during the week and the days before, in particular with some practical activities, such as the provision of information to participants, setting up and cleaning the activities and keeping order. Without our crewmembers, the Eurekaweek wouldn't be possible! It is only possible to become a crew member if you speak Dutch.
During the Eurekaweek all the groups have two guides who take them around the city and guide them through all the fun activities. The guides are divided per study, which means that participants can also ask their guides anything study-related. We need about 500 guides who volunteer their time to make the Eurekaweek unforgettable for participants.
New this year is the guide committee. A small group of Erasmus students who assist the board in recruiting, selecting and training the guides with the main purpose to create a close group of guides who take full responsibility for their groups and ensure that their participants have a great week.
