Ritsema van Eck explains what she feels is important in her work: “I want to really connect people. A good relationship with and between people is essential to be able work well together. However, you need to be discerning towards each other when it comes to content.”
On the subject of the challenges facing the university, she says: “We must continue to look at the balance between performing optimally on a daily basis and change and renewal. Because you can’t embark on something new if the basis isn’t right. Needs and demands also change. Students want well designed workplaces and IT, while online security is also becoming increasingly important in the daily functioning of education and research.”
“You can’t embark on something new if the basis isn’t right.”
