Ensuring every policy and action enables a sustainable campus

Year after year, the University Council pushed for sustainability to be a fundamental priority of the university. With the involvement of students and staff, the university’s management recognized the need and interest of its community. Therefore, a sustainable campus is now one of the seven strategic pillars of Strategy 2024.

The Roadmap Sustainable Campus is a guide to achieving a truly sustainable campus. It takes responsibility for climate change and sustainable development. EUR aims to be carbon neutral by 2024 and ecopositive (giving more than taking in) by 2030. Find the Roadmap Sustainable Campus here. As the University Council, our method to ensure a sustainable campus is to leverage our central position within the university. By bringing together the different participatory bodies and representatives, we hope to commit to the goals of sustainable development within EUR with every policy and action taken.
