Are you a Dutch or international EUR lecturer who teaches in English? Would you like to improve your language skills or boost your confidence in English? The Community for Learning & Innovation (CLI) highly recommends the official Teaching in English course.
When teaching in English, you are faced with several aspects of instruction that are different from teaching in your native language. In short, this calls for a high level of fluency in English, active knowledge of teaching-specific vocabulary and specific teaching skills.
The approach of the Language & Training Centre’s Teaching in English course is based on an integration of all these skills, so that you improve your fluency and key language skills, which are necessary to teach well in English. This will also improve your English communication with research colleagues in general.
It is the EUR’s ambition for all of the EUR lecturers to have reached a minimum level of C1. This is consistent with the agreements made with the VSNU, the Association of Universities in the Netherlands.

I think it’s a course all non-English native speakers should follow since it covers not only English grammar and pronunciation, but it also teaches how to use the right language in the right context to keep a professional relationship with students and colleagues.
