A policy measure to promote fairness and gender equality at EUR

As a university that fundamentally believes in the necessity of social equity, we are committed to expressing this within our community as well as our research. Our social impact is enriched by our large proportion of talented female academic staff and we look to further their substantial contribution.

That is why from January 2020, all faculties will begin the 25/25 initiative that provides support for all female academics who aspire to become associate or full professors in the near future.

25/25 Policy Details

As a participant you will receive four major benefits:

  • Dedicated mentoring by senior staff
  • Tailor made support for portfolio development
  • Confidential feedback, advise and scoring on your portfolio by an independent panel 
  • If eligible, a financial compensation of up to €10.000 Euros to help you take the next step in your career

If you are a female assistant professor looking to become an associate professor within 2-3 years, or associate professor aiming to become a full professor within 1-2 years, then you should register. Faculty Deans and department heads will also proactively nominate talented female academic staff to join the measure. 

This is a EUR wide measure that will consist of two rounds, each lasting for a year, with registrations beginning in November 2019. Registration for the measure does not require prior approval. Limited spaces are available.

We believe that female academic staff should have greater representation in our ranks and we are committed to ensuring that happens. 25/25 is a great opportunity to gain objective insight, advice and support on how to take the next step in your career.
