As a member of the Rotterdamsch Leeskabinet, you are entitled to borrow books and to use the reading room in which reference works, periodicals, and journals are available. As a member, you support the upkeep of a unique, historical—though up-to-date— Rotterdam-based book collection. This cultural heritage deserves your attention as well.
You will also receive – some six times a year – invitations for the Leeskabinet lectures. The subjects of these lectures are literature, history, art, and culture.
Members of the Leeskabinet can peruse and borrow books and journals from the University Library of Erasmus University free of charge. Books which are not available here can be requested via the interlibrary loan (ILL) service. A handling fee will be charged in that case.
