You can find a lot of information circulating within EUR. Whether it concerns education, research or operational management, the University’s staff and students rely on information to do their jobs or study. CIO Office ensures that EUR’s information management runs smoothly and effectively responds to the organisation’s ambitions and internal developments.
Information management translates users’ information needs into the IT resources and technologies required to fulfil these needs. This allows us to take effective advantage of the available information when raising our education and research activities to an even higher level. To do so as efficiently as possible, CIO Office works closely together with colleagues within the information column.
Broadly supported strategy
CIO Office is currently working on the formulation of its information strategy for the next few years. In this process we hope to incorporate the wishes and ideas of students and staff members. We inquire after their wishes and requirements in relation to information and combine this input with the ambitions set out in EUR’s strategy. This will ensure that the new information strategy aligns as closely as possible with the desired situation.
Accessible, hospitable, robust and cost-effective
We make use of a variety of resources and methodologies to keep EUR’s information management on course. For example, we work within a shared enterprise architecture, have set up a solid i-governance and maintain a sharp focus on information security and privacy. Our objective is to make sure that EUR’s information management remains accessible, hospitable, robust and cost-effective.
