Information for non-EUR visitors
No student or employee of the EUR? Even then you are more than welcome to utilize the facilities in the University Library. This ranges from viewing and borrowing publications to consulting the digital collection. Below you will find an overview of the possibilities and what is required from you in return.
A small segment of the library collection is available for consultation in the library. The largest part is stored in an enclosed area. In order to view a certain book, report or journal, you must request it a day in advance before 4.00 p.m. using our application form.
Please include the details of the publication, such as the title, author, year of publication and request number if available. You will find this in sEURch. You can collect the publication the next day with a service card. You will be notified by email when your book is available for collection. Find out how to get a service card at the bottom of this page.
Do you also want to borrow a book besides just viewing it? In this case you need a library card. To collect your library card, please show your ID and address identification (for example a recent bank statement with your address details) to the information desk in the University Library. Payment is possible with your debit card.
Consulting the digital collection
In order to consult our digital collection (through search engine sEURch and separate subject-specific databases) you will need a service card. Read how to collect this card below.
With the service card, corresponding login codes and a PC located on the campus or your own laptop, you have access to the internet and the possibility to browse through the digital collection. Think of: e-journals, newspapers, legislation, jurisprudence, reference works, financial and statistical data. It is possible to download and print your collected information.
Printing, copying, scanning
In order to print or copy a book or journal article available in hardcopy, you need a service card. Read how to collect this card below. Fees based on the number of prints, copies and/or scans will be charged afterwards. Payment is possible with your debit card.
