Quality and Control

Higher education in the Netherlands enjoys a worldwide reputation for its high quality. This is achieved through a national system of regulation and quality assurance. International peer reviews of research and education at universities in Holland are conducted every six years. Erasmus University Rotterdam uses the assessments to improve the quality of its research and teaching.

The Accreditation Organisation of The Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO) accredits the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes. Our management and business administration programmes hold AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS accreditation, whilst the accreditation for some post-experience Master’s programmes offered by other departments is in progress. Our research schools are also accredited every six years by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts & Sciences (KNAW).
