The World Happiness Report is a measure of happiness published by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UNSDSN). The 2015 report is the third edition. The first two reports, released in 2012 and 2013, drew international attention as landmark surveys on the state of global happiness. The reports identified the Netherlands as fourth happiest country in the world. The World Happiness Report 2015 is sure to once again claim worldwide coverage. Two of three editors will be present in person while one will be introducing the report via a video message. This is the first launch of the report in Europe at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. The presentations will focus on happiness in Europe. EHERO will present results from joint research with the World Bank and from its own World Database of Happiness.

4. Organisation

The European launch of the World Happiness Report 2015 is organised by Erasmus Happiness Economics Research Organisation. EHERO is a multidisciplinary research organisation and centre of expertise on happiness, based in the Erasmus School of Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Mission is to contribute to greater happiness of a greater number of people. Leading question is how greater happiness can be achieved and how synergy can be obtained with other things we value. Besides empirical research to gather information about the determinants and consequences of happiness and hosting the World Database of Happiness, EHERO runs applied research programmes and consultancy with organisations, organises congresses, symposia and workshops, educates students through a minor programme and organises multiple educational programmes for executives in the public and private sector. Ultimate goal is to enable individuals as well as companies and governments to make more informed choices.
