De Wit Fonds
The 'de Wit Fonds' has been named after the late Mr. Prof. G. W. De Wit to honour his valuable contributions to science. In 1994, Prof. De Wit left the department of 'verzekeringswetenschap' at Erasmus School of Economics. The fund is a component of the Erasmus Trustfunds.
Its objective is to stimulate studies, research, and advice namely in areas, such as risk management and financial markets. It fosters research and education in these areas from a societal relevant approach. Some examples of contributions are:
- 2013: A contribution to the book by Prof. Dr. Lydia van Staveren: 'Economics after the Crisis'
- 2016: A contribution to the book 'Canon van de Economie', the century book of ESB
