Research Marketing Group

The Marketing Group consists of leading marketing researchers and educators. They specialize in a variety of research areas:

  1. the marketing of high tech products, with a special interest in industries such as ICT and life sciences, such as the adoption and diffusion of new (information or medical) technologies;
  2. marketing and sales strategy in knowledge-intensive environments;
  3. marketing research, with specific attention to time series and panel data applications and to the modelling of customer behaviour, such as mass customization and consumer information search.

The group has an outspoken quantitative orientation, combined with an interest in strategic (e.g. strategy-response models) and behavioural (e.g. behavioural modelling) issues in marketing.

Members of the Marketing group are active members of the Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM) and the Tinbergen Institute (TI). Moreover, the Marketing group houses several research centers, such as the Institute for Life Science and Business Economics (iLSBE) and the Institute for Sales and Account Management (ISAM) at Erasmus University.
