Corporate taxation, particularly international tax avoidance, is an important topic and of significant interest for politics, firms, general public, and academia. Nevertheless, researchers in the Netherlands whose work touches upon corporate and business taxation are spread out over various institutions.
Furthermore, there is little interaction across fields; this is particularly the case for Public Economics and (Tax) Accounting. We share the belief that it will be beneficial and productive to combine research in public economics with tax accounting and finance within the Netherlands.
The Dutch Workshop on Corporate Taxation on Wednesday, 9 October 2019 brings together people from accounting and economics at Dutch universities. We would like to define this circle widely. Anyone who has an interest in issues related to corporate taxation, whose current or past research touches upon corporate taxes or whose future research might include corporate taxation is highly welcome as a participant. EUR provides the venue and sponsors the catering and conference dinner. Travel costs are left to your own expense.
