Misses and buffers, "knew and should have known" and bogus trade, that sounds like VAT carousel fraud.

Every year, the EU Member States lose only 50 billion euros due to VAT carousel fraud. Combatting this fraud is high on the agenda, whereby not only malicious entrepreneurs are tackled, but also benevolent entrepreneurs run the risk of being excluded from the right to deduct VAT. In this masterclass, John Gruson, teacher at Erasmus School of Economics and coordinator of the bachelor course Turnover Tax, treats you to a ride in the VAT carousel.
