International Bachelor Econometrics and Operations Research

The International Bachelor Econometrics and Operations Research is a three year BSc programme. First, we make sure you obtain a solid foundation in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics and Linear Programming. In these courses you obtain the skills to understand economic processes, to turn them into quantitative models, and to use mathematics and statistics to find the answers you are looking for. Then, you can choose your own elective courses and start to focus on your chosen specialisation (major) as well as go on an exchange programme at one of our partner universities abroad or do an internship.

Why International Bachelor Econometrics and Operations Research?

When you choose to study Econometrics, you will learn:
  • to apply mathematics to economic and social issues;
  • to build mathematical models and link the results to real life situations;
  • and to use these models to support decision making.
Theory and practice are alternated. During tutorials, you solve current issues in small groups with a maximum of 35 students. In many courses you work on assignments with groups of about four students. The programme offers students the benefits of small scale teaching.  That means more time for personal attention and intensive guidance and you quickly get to know your fellow students and your professors.

What our students say

'The courses that I enjoyed the most were the ones that had a lot of real life applications such as Mathematical Methods, Introduction to Statistics and Micro- and Macroeconomics. I could really see how I will be able to apply the new skills and knowledge I gained in those courses in my career in the future.'
