Payment by another person/institution

This payment method is available in five ways: 

1.     Payment by digital authorisation from a bank account from a country in the SEPA area via Studielink

This payment method is NOT available for institutions or companies. Is is NOT available for people who do not have a their own Digid (a digital identity for Dutch citizens). Please make sure to check in advance whether the person who pays the tuition fees has Digid and whether the person has a personal bank account from a country in the SEPA area.

After the tuition fees have been established by Erasmus University you will receive a message via Studielink.

After receiving this message  enter that ‘Someone else’ will pay the tuition fees via a bank account from a country in the SEPA area in Studielink. Follow the instruction available on the Studielink website.

Please note: make sure that we receive the confirmed digital authorization via Studielink before 31 August. Otherwise, you are not registered.
(Note: there is a different deadline applicable for non-EEA students, who have to apply for an entry visa and/or residence permit.) 

2.     Payment by bank

Indicate in Studielink that the payment method is 'via institution of higher education'  and that someone else will pay. Have the tuition fee transferred to ABN-AMRO bank NL10ABNA0490929311 mentioning the students name and student number:

  • IBAN code: NL10ABNA0490929311
  • BIC code: ABNANL2A

Please note: make sure that we receive the payment before 31 August. Otherwise, you are not registered.
(Note: there is a different deadline applicable for non-EEA students, who have to apply for an entry visa and/or residence permit.) 

3.      Payment via scholarship/grant institution
Choose in Studielink the payment method 'via institution of higher education' and fill out the details. After that, send an e-mail to the department of tuition fees (bog@eur.nl) stating that you have submitted an enrolment application and that payment of tuition fee is taken care of by (name of organisation which provides scholarship) before 31 August. In addition please mention:

  • student number
  • amount of tuition fee
  • academic year (e.g. registration academic year 2013-2014)
  • name of scholarship

4.      Payment by invoice

If you want to pay the tuition fee via an invoice, choose in Studielink the payment method 'via institution of higher education' . In addition, please send an e-mail to the department of tuition fees (tfo.fis@eur.nl) to ask for an invoice. Please supply:

  • student number
  • address to send the invoice to
  • tuition fee amount
  • academic year (e.g. registration academic year 2012-2013)

Please note: make sure to send your request for an invoice before 1 August to bog@eur.nl and make sure that we receive payment before 31 August. (Except for non-EEA students, who have to apply for an entry visa and/or residence permit.)

5.     Payment at Erasmus Student Service Centre

In case someone else  prefers to pay your tuition fees at Erasmus Student Service Centre, please note that we do not accept cash payments. Payment is only possible by PIN or creditcard (5% charge in case of payment with creditcard) at Erasmus Student Service Centre. Payment in installments is not available at Erasmus Student Service Centre.

If you choose to pay at Erasmus Student Service Centre, choose in Studielink the payment method 'via institution of higher education'.
