Economics is truly all around us, present in every aspect of our lives and it is for this reason I chose to study Economics and Business Economics. You learn everything from what determines the price of goods and services to why the average standards of living vary so widely within and between countries.
What convinced me to study in Rotterdam is the international environment that Erasmus University has created. You get used to be surrounded by people with different points of view, so you learn how to adapt and think outside the box. Especially in the field of business this is a truly significant asset.

This programme has a lot to offer to students who want to further develop themselves by choosing a minor, Honours courses, a semester abroad etc. All these give you an idea of your future desired career path.
Fortunately, it is not all studying books and theory. I am really enjoying my time in Rotterdam. This vibrant and modern city has so much to offer. You can go on a shopping spree, enjoy some excellent food and visit a range of attractions in and around the city centre.
