What does a teaching assistant do?

At Erasmus School of Economics, approximately 200 teaching assistants are supervising bachelor tutorials. As a teaching assistant, it is your responsibility to activate, motivate and guide students in completing assignments. Next to that, you will be explaining subject matter covered in lectures, perform administrative tasks, and carry out tasks related to the examination process. The exact responsibilities and duties will vary depending on the course.

Training and guidance

To ensure good-quality small-scale bachelor education, the Tutor Academy provides training, coaching and guidance of teaching assistants who work within the bachelor programmes of Erasmus School of Economics.
