What does a teaching assistant do?

At Erasmus School of Economics, approximately 350 teaching assistants are supervising bachelor tutorials. As a teaching assistant, it is your responsibility to activate, motivate and guide students in completing assignments. Next to that, you will be explaining subject matter covered in lectures, perform administrative tasks, and carry out tasks related to the examination process. The exact responsibilities and duties will vary depending on the course.

Training and guidance

The Tutor Academy arranges recruitment and hiring of TA’s for the Erasmus School of Economics. Our Tutor Academy Teachers provide training and guidance for the TA’s who work within the bachelor programmes. Together with our TA’s we ensure good-quality small-scale bachelor education.
