Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication Take-Off

The Take-Off is the introduction event for all new students of Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication. During this introduction event, you will receive useful practical information and an introduction to the exchange program. You get a chance to meet your fellow students and our School. An invitation to the Take-Off with more details, will be sent to you by email. 

Attendance to the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication Take-Off is mandatory.

On these days, Erasmus University has its own meeting point at Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam), where Erasmus Student Network (ESN) awaits the newly arrived students and accompany them to Rotterdam. 

Intensive Dutch Language Course

21 August - 1 September 2017Get comfortable with the Dutch language by applying for the Language and Training Centre’s Intensive Dutch language course for absolute beginners. Please note that this course, with target level A1, will be taught during daytime.

One Stop Shop

22 & 28 August 2017

1, 4, 8 & 19 September 2017

The city hall, a bank and an insurance company are coming to the Woudestein campus, so that new international students can register at city hall, open a bank account and arrange their healthcare insurance in one go. 

ESN Introduction Days

27 - 29 August 2017

Take the chance to meet fellow international students, get acquainted with Dutch culture, discover Rotterdam and experience its cultural highlights and nightlife! 

Official Welcome

7 September 2017

A welcome ceremony that consists of two parts. The formal part is hosted by prominent university staff and student associations and includes a fun element too. During the informal part of the evening, you will have a chance to experience true Dutch cuisine. Make sure to register!
