Erasmus University has outsourced the arrangements for accommodation. There are different options of finding a room in Rotterdam, you will find them described on this page.

Reserved short stay accommodation - Housing agency “SSH”: see

Erasmus University Rotterdam has reserved almost 500 fully furnished rooms at Rotterdam’s largest provider of student housing, SSH, which can be rented for fixed periods (12 months or 1 semester). The rooms are located on the Woudestein campus or very close to this campus.  The monthly rent for most rooms is between €440 and €650.

  • Students arriving in August/September can make reservations at SSH as of 5 April.
  • Students arriving February can make reservations at SSH as of 15 October.
  • Make sure to register for "Reserved accommodations".

The Student Hotel: see

The Student Hotel provides fully furnished and fully serviced rooms and studio's for students, academics, friends and family. You decide how long you want to stay - 1 or 2 semesters, just 1 night or 2 weeks - it’s all up to you. The Student Hotel offers a choice of rooms and studio apartments. Each room is furnished and has a private en-suite bathroom. Kitchens are either private or shared. International and local students enjoy all-inclusive accommodation with lots of extra benefits. With library, lounges and study rooms, gym, café and restaurant, your own bike, WiFi and cable TV. You can book your room in advance and online. Student-to-student marketplace, see:
This online housing platform lists the rooms of Dutch students who are temporarily going abroad for their study. The rooms are located all over Rotterdam and are often furnished. The monthly rent for most rooms is between €300 and €750.

Private market: Nestpick and other agencies
Since we are unable to offer rooms to all of our new international students, a number of you will have to look for a room on the private market.

We can recommend Nestpick (, which is an online platform connecting students and accommodation providers. The rooms are situated all over Rotterdam and the monthly rent varies from €250 to €1,000. You can find more agencies on our website.
