Description of research

The goal of this doctoral research is to gain insight into how franchising – a popular form of organisation in various other sectors – is arranged and managed in the health care sector. The main focus is on the outcomes achieved for patients/clients, care providers, health care organisations and franchisers. The research can be placed in the context of the broader search for innovative and better ways of organising and managing health care.
