MyFuture in your first year
"Live your best life."
It seems easier said than done. The XII Waves-Young Guns programme is the perfect remedy for a busy and stressful (student) life. Time for yourself and your own goals and ambitions. This program covers theory, but you also get many practical tips and tricks to achieve your goals for your studies, career and life.
Within this program, you follow a total of six masterclasses, which are spread over three educational blocks (December 2019 to March 2020). Each master class has its theme, and after the six masterclasses, there are two follow-up sessions. XII Waves-Young Guns offers you personal guidance, and you go through all the steps with the same group of fellow students. You help and learn from each other.
Young Guns is accessible, humorous, directly applicable and above all, practical. The first 50 participants receive a 'dopper' from Erasmus School of Law. Take action now and register!
Group 1 follows masterclasses from 13.00h to 16.00h on:
- Wednesday, November 27, 2019;
- Wednesday, December 11, 2019;
- Wednesday, January 15, 2020;
- Wednesday, January 22, 2020;
- Wednesday, February 12, 2020;
- Wednesday, March 4, 2020;
- Wednesday, 25 March & Wednesday 22 April (Follow-up sessions).
The details of the master classes of the other groups are agreed upon in consultation with the participants.
"Multiple roads lead to Rome."
In this way, multiple paths lead to personal leadership. Is the XII Waves-Young Guns program not for you or have you just missed the registration deadline? Don't worry, because within MyFuture you can also participate in modules and individual workshops.
First up: Personal Leadership. In this module, you will be included in the basis of personal leadership in 2 months with five different workshops. Become aware of yourself and your potential. Learn to make your own choices, spend your time and attention effectively and learn to keep up in a changing society.
Stress ... who doesn't know the feeling? !! Stress is the number one occupational disease in the Netherlands. A little stress can help you perform optimally, but nowadays, stress is increasingly harming students. Research by the 'LSVb' showed that more than 74 per cent of the students are regularly emotionally exhausted; one in three students have an increased risk of burnout.
In this workshop, you will discover how you can effectively tackle stress and how you can control your stress level.
A busy agenda, 138 to-do's, 23 requests, 42 appointments, and going out with friends tonight. Sometimes it feels like 24 hours a day is not enough. Manage yourself. Manage your agenda. It is possible!
In this workshop, you learn to set better goals, to plan and to have clear priorities. You will also receive tips for effectively managing your agenda. Then you can apply your acquired knowledge onto your activities, and you may even have time left!
In your future job, you are expected to cope with pressure and setbacks, but you will also have to deal with this during your studies and in your daily life. In this workshop, you learn to become resilient together with a sparring partner and to break through your blockades. Learn how to deal with setbacks in the right way.
Please note: for this workshop, we advise you to wear comfortable clothing.
Feedback is essential if you work together with others. Just think of your weekly education groups. You sometimes have to tell others that their work is done well or that their work could be improved. But the way you do so can affect the (work) relationship.
In this workshop, you learn how you can confront someone on their attitude and behaviour, but at the same time, strengthen your relationship. You learn to give and receive positive and negative feedback in a pleasant and practical way.
