J.H. Christiaanse Foundation
Simultaneously with the establishment of the ESBL in 1992, the Foundation J.H. Christiaanse was founded on the initiative of a number of large local authorities, the Bank Nederlandse Gemeenten (Dutch Municipal Bank, BNG) and the province South Holland. The Foundation J.H. Christiaanse is named after the former Rotterdam professor of tax law dr. J.H. Christiaanse. The board of the foundation oversees the financial and organizational affairs of the ESBL.
The sponsors of the Foundation J.H. Christiaanse are the local authorities Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and the partnerships Drechtsteden and Vastgoedinformatie Heffing en Waardebepaling (SVHW, located in Klaaswaal). They also largely take care of the funding of the activities of the ESBL.
