Updates about corona

Information for students and employees

Latest update: 24 March 2022

The government has decided to further relax the coronation measures. However, a number of recommendations still apply. Erasmus University Rotterdam continues to follow the developments.

Latest updates

The university is fully open again. Capacity is no longer limited, and it is no longer compulsory to wear a face mask. In addition, it is no longer necessary to show your QR code at, for example, the catering and sports building.

  • The advice to work a maximum of half of the working time in the office has been dropped. This puts us in a transitional situation towards a hybrid work situation. We are now looking for a new balance that is good for individual employees and for the team: when do you work at home, when at the office? You coordinate this with your manager and your team. • There is no longer an obligation to wear a face mask on campus or in public transport.

  • Everyone is asked to continue to follow the basic rules (hygiene measures) and quarantine guidelines.

  • It is no longer necessary to do a self-test if you have no symptoms. This means that the advice to test twice a week if you go to university and do not have any symptoms, is no longer valid. The rule is still: stay at home if you have symptoms and do a self-test. These can be ordered free of charge at: www.zelftestonderwijs.nl.

  • "Keep testing!"

The last corona measures were lifted on 23 March. Marion Koopmans reacts in the media.
