In order to go on an exchange, you first need to know what it is. Please read the information below to see if the exchange programme suits your interests.
What is an exchange programme?
With the exchange contracts of Erasmus School of Social and Behavioural Sciences, you can study for one semester at one of our partner universities. As part of your minor, you can choose which courses to take at that particular university. This allows you either to specialise in a certain direction or to broaden your knowledge. Thanks to the International Office’s contracts, you do not need to pay tuition to the host university.
Who can study abroad?
The exchange programme of the Faculty of Sciences is open only to students who are planning on going abroad in their third bachelor year. This is due to the exchange agreements we have with the universities. There is only a limited number of places available at each university. If there are too many applicants, the International Office will nominate students based on their grades and motivation. Please carefully read the requirements for your department.
When can I study abroad?
As a student at Erasmus School of Social and Behavioural Sciences you can only go abroad from block 3.1 up until and including block 3.3 of the third Bachelor year. Please start preparing for your exchange at least a year in advance.
Why would I go on exchange?
There are numerous advantages of living an extended period in a foreign country. For example, by studying abroad you will distinguish yourself from your fellow students, not only because you take different courses, but also because you will grow personally, develop an international network and gain important skills.
