Alex Vrublev, student Positive Organisational Psychology

There is one word to describe the experience of the Master’s programme Positive Organisational Psychology: 'eye-opening'.

I did not give much thought to the choice of this programme.  I had only heard that it was very good from a friend. The programme is even better than good; it is outstanding. The dedication and care of the people I interacted with, their good preparation and enthusiasm has struck me. If necessary, they would explain things again and again to you. T heir near tangible passion for the subject of their choice has impressed me.

Each course I followed introduced a new facet of Psychology and challenged me in new ways. Although I have a passion for the subject Personnel selection and Assessment, I found the information of all the other domains similarly interesting and useful. The teaching method is quite challenging yet satisfying. One of the things we learned was to search for information and extract the essentials from our materials. This has helped me to gain a better understanding of the field. Moreover, it is a skill that will be useful in my future work.

Meeting people from all over the world has been an amazing experience. Back home education can sometimes be a bit rigid compared to here, where the variety of people stimulates interesting exchanges. During the Master’s programme I got the chance to meet people from all over the globe and forge friendships. I cannot even begin to describe how much this entire experience has taught me, both on a professional and a personal level. I feels as if I entered the programme as an eager student and I have left as a humbler, even more eager student. My eyes are open to the world and my mind is filled with incredible knowledge imparted to me by the extraordinary people I had the honour of calling my tutors and lecturers.

I would strongly encourage anyone who wishes to set forth on this journey through Erasmus as a wonderful set of experiences awaits them and they will surely not regret their choice for a second.
