Personal Development Track

At EUC we want to create a safe learning environment in which students can strive and flourish and succeed academically. The personal development track (PDT) helps first-years students in developing study and personal skills (e.g. resilience). From the introduction week on, a group of 12 students is assigned a mentor and a peer-mentor. The role of these mentors is to meet on a regular basis with their students as a group and in-person to facilitate reflection from the students upon their study and student life. Furthermore, mentors will assist in referring students to the appropriate avenues of support where needed (e.g. student counsellors). As part of the PDT, students can choose among different workshops helping them in their study and personal life (e.g. learning strategies, time management, alcohol and drugs, budgeting).
