Wendy G. Terlouw
Programme Assistant for Economics & Business
Wendy Terlouw has a long history with ESSB and therefore was for some already a familiar face before she started working at EUC. Born and bred in Rhoon (a village on the outskirts of Rotterdam), she finally ended up in Oudenhoorn (a small village next to Hellevoetsluis) with a large garden overlooking the famous “Hollandse polders”. Good thing she enjoys gardening! And when she’s not busy getting her hands dirty, she has plenty of other interests like reading, languages (hence her education in Celtic Languages and Culture), embroidery, etc, etc. In other words: a typical Busy Lizzie (get the pun?).
Why do you work at EUC?
After having worked at the Erasmus School of Social and Behavioural Sciences (ESSB) as a Year Coordinator for the Educational Office (firstly for Psychology and a couple of years later for Pedagogical & Educational Sciences) for almost 10 years, it was time for a new challenge and when a vacancy opened at EUC, I immediately jumped at the chance. I have always wanted to work in an international environment and where better than at EUC? So I am looking forward to all the challenges EUC will bring me in the years to come.
