The enormous growth in scholarly communication channels has increased the options for profiling yourself online.
But also the chance of ‘errors' has increased - I’m also the author of this publication! This can have serious consequences for evaluations, appointments, or grants. That’s why more and more publishers and funders require the use of author identifiers.
With author identifiers and profiles such as ORCID, ResearcherID and Google Scholar Author Profile, you can properly present yourself and your publications and make them more visible.
Goal
Become more visible as a unique author by creating your own ORCID, Google Scholar Author Profile and/or ResearcherID. Bring your own laptop for this practical workshop.
