2017 Journal Citation Reports published
On June 14, the 2017 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) were published by Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters). The 2017 JCR contain the Journal Impact Factors of 2016 for 11.549 journals, from 236 disciplines.
New in this release of the JCR:
- 132 journals received a Journal Impact Factor for the first time, for example American Journal of Health Economics, Frontiers in Psychiatry, Legal Studies and Public Policy and Administration. A list of all journals receiving their first JIF is available here.
- 13 journals are suppressed, based on the analysis of the last year of citation data. More information about the suppression of journals can be found here.
- In the journal source data table, the percentage of citable items per journal per year and the percentage of references from the journal to citable items in other journals are added.
- The selections you make in the JCR, for example the categories, the quartile or the journals, remain visible in the filter panel. This change makes it easier to use the JCR, because you can see what filters have been used to create the list of results.
